Payment Integrity Project Manager / Payment Integrity Project Specialist (Hybrid) – Grand Rapids, MI Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid) Schedule: On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; remote Monday/Friday Pay: $60/hr Summary Now hiring a Payment Integrity Project Manager (also known as a Payment Integrity Project Specialist ) to lead mid-to-large, high-impact healthcare initiatives focused on payment integrity, claims operations, and vendor-delivered solutions . This role owns complex project plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications while driving execution across cross-functional teams and external partners. Ideal candidates bring healthcare/claims expertise, strong influencing skills, and proven delivery of large implementations tied to SLA performance, compliance, and measurable outcomes . Responsibilities Lead complex payment integrity and healthcare claims projects from concept through implementation Build and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, milestones, and RAID tracking (risks/issues/dependencies) Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to deliver on time and within budget Manage vendor work, deliverables, and performance against contractual requirements and SLA agreements Facilitate stakeholder alignment, governance routines, and executive-ready status updates Drive requirements gathering, process documentation, and change management readiness Identify dependencies across systems, operations, and business functions to ensure smooth integration Monitor cost, schedule, and performance across multiple concurrent initiatives Mentor team members and reinforce project management standards and methodology Promote project management best practices aligned to PMI principles and enterprise toolsets Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required; Master’s degree preferred 3 years relevant project/program experience (5 preferred) Healthcare/claims domain experience required; payment integrity exposure strongly preferred Experience leading large-scale, complex implementations in a matrix environment Strong vendor management experience including deliverables, SLA tracking, and escalation management Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills (cross-functional and executive communication) Strong planning/budgeting/scheduling skills; advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) PMP certification preferred (PgMP a plus) Nice to have: clinical editing, CMS, medical coding, payment integrity programs Keywords: Payment Integrity Project Manager, Payment Integrity Project Specialist, Healthcare Project Manager, Claims Project Manager, Program Manager, Vendor Management, SLA, PMI, PMP, Healthcare Claims, Implementation, Stakeholder Management, Change Management, Process Improvement, Medical Coding, CMS, Clinical Editing. *
